CommentCareClear expectations.
The conditions for using CommentCare’s current service. A subscription is required to activate protection.
1. The service and its operator.
CommentCare is provided by Theodor Conrad Borth, Zehenthofgasse 37, 1190 Wien, Austria. Questions and notices can be sent to hello@commentcare.app. These terms describe the current service and do not create a paid subscription merely by visiting the website.
2. Accounts and authorized access.
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. Connect only TikTok accounts you own or have authority to manage. Protect your credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You remain responsible for the instructions you give within the service.
TikTok permissions are granted on TikTok’s authorization screen and can be revoked there. CommentCare does not ask for your TikTok password. TikTok’s own terms, availability and account restrictions continue to apply. CommentCare is independent from TikTok.
3. Moderation and your control.
The initial check analyzes comments made available by TikTok on your latest 20 videos and suggests extra protection. It does not hide comments. After you finish setup, scheduled scans classify available comments and request hiding of high-confidence matches under the selected rules.
Scans are scheduled every 30 minutes, subject to volume, allowance and provider availability. AI can incorrectly classify comments or miss unwanted material. Review moderation history and retain human oversight. CommentCare does not provide investment advice or guarantee a spam-free or legally compliant comment section.
You can request restoration in the dashboard. Restoration depends on TikTok and may be impossible if content was deleted or restricted separately. Disconnecting or deleting your CommentCare account does not automatically restore hidden comments.
4. Acceptable use.
Do not use CommentCare for unauthorized access, unlawful surveillance, harassment, discriminatory targeting, circumvention of platform restrictions, bulk data resale or influencer-ranking databases. Do not intentionally submit unrelated special-category personal data or secrets in comments or support requests.
You are responsible for having an appropriate legal basis, notices and permissions for the accounts and personal data you instruct us to process. Where we act as your processor, our Data Processing Agreement forms part of the contract. Acceptance of the current Terms and that agreement is recorded before TikTok processing starts or resumes. The privacy notice is acknowledged separately from any consent-based processing.
5. Subscriptions, payments and cancellation.
Protection requires an active subscription purchased through Stripe Checkout. Starter costs USD 29 per month for one TikTok account and 5,000 newly scanned comments. Pro costs USD 59 per month for unlimited connected TikTok accounts and a shared allowance of 30,000 newly scanned comments. Optional one-time add-ons cost USD 15 for 10,000 extra comments. Registration alone never authorizes a charge. The final total and applicable tax treatment are shown before you confirm your order in Stripe Checkout.
Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Manage payment methods, invoices, plan changes and cancellation through Settings → Plan & billing. Cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the paid period. Failed or overdue payments can pause protection. Creating an account, disconnecting TikTok or stopping use does not cancel a subscription. Plan-change charges or credits are shown for confirmation in the billing portal. The initial analysis is included; unused monthly allowances do not roll over. Additional comment packs never renew automatically and are usable while a subscription is active. Existing pilot users must explicitly purchase a subscription; they are never charged automatically.
If you purchase as an EU/EEA consumer, you generally have 14 days from concluding the contract to withdraw by an unambiguous statement sent to hello@commentcare.app. Include your account email, order date and the subscription you wish to withdraw from. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights are not excluded by subscription cancellation terms. Contact us before requesting deletion if you need help ending a subscription or exercising these rights.
Usage is based on newly analyzed comments during regular protection; the initial onboarding analysis does not consume the paid allowance. Reviewing a decision or requesting restoration does not analyze that comment again.
6. Content and data.
You retain the rights you hold in your content. You permit the technical processing needed to provide the service according to your authorized instructions; no ownership of your comments is transferred. Product software, branding and third-party materials remain with their respective rights holders.
The privacy notice explains account data, AI processing, providers and rights. It is information about processing, not blanket consent to every use of personal data.
7. Stopping use and suspension.
You can disconnect TikTok and export or delete your CommentCare account in Settings → Your privacy & data. You can also request assistance by email. Disconnecting removes the connection’s active database records, but does not revoke the permission listed inside TikTok; remove that permission on TikTok as well.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security threats, unlawful use or a binding provider requirement. Where legally and technically possible, we explain the reason and provide a way to contact us. Ending access does not remove rights or obligations that must survive under law.
8. Statutory rights and liability.
We use reasonable care in providing the service. Availability depends in part on TikTok, hosting and AI providers; no uninterrupted availability or perfect moderation result is promised. These terms do not exclude statutory remedies, mandatory consumer protections, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
No blanket disclaimer or arbitrary liability cap applies through these terms. The applicable statutory rules determine liability, including for intentional misconduct, personal injury and other non-excludable matters.
9. Applicable law, consumers and changes.
Austrian law applies, subject to mandatory rights that apply to you. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of protections under the law of your habitual residence where those protections must apply. Jurisdiction is determined by applicable law; no exclusive Vienna forum is imposed on consumers.
Any applicable statutory withdrawal rights remain unaffected. Before selling a paid service to consumers, we will supply the required withdrawal information and order controls. These terms do not waive such rights or request early performance.
Material changes to an existing agreement will be notified appropriately and require agreement where the law requires it. Merely editing this page does not retroactively authorize charges or unrelated data processing.
